Attending SOAR-2025: A Transformative Experience in Revision Arthroplasty Training

Hip and knee

Last weekend, I had the privilege of attending SOAR-2025—the 2nd Sunshine Operative Arthroplasty Course for Revision & Complex Primary Hips and Knees—held in Hyderabad. This event, thoughtfully organized by the Sarvejana Foundation in collaboration with Sunshine Bone & Joint Institute, stood out as a beacon of surgical education and skill advancement.

A Hub for Learning and Collaboration

SOAR-2025 brought together some of the finest orthopedic minds from across the country. Esteemed surgeons and faculty from all over India shared their expertise, insights, and latest techniques in handling challenging revision and complex primary hip and knee replacement cases.

The conference was a unique mix of:

  • Live surgical demonstrations
  • Case-based discussions
  • Expert panels and evidence-based lectures

It wasn’t just a learning experience—it was a networking platform where knowledge flowed seamlessly between young surgeons, seasoned consultants, and institutional leaders.

Highlights of the Event

  • Live experience of witnessing  advanced surgical techniques for revision arthroplasty.
  • Discussions on complications, implant selection, and surgical decision-making in tough clinical scenarios.
  • Collaborative spirit and mentorship offered by senior surgeons made it truly educational and inspiring.

A Step Toward Surgical Excellence

Events like SOAR are vital in shaping the future of orthopedic surgery in India. With the growing complexity of joint replacement cases, continuous learning and specialized training are no longer optional—they are essential. SOAR-2025 delivered exactly that: an intensive and insightful surgical education platform for those aiming to stay at the forefront of arthroplasty.

I am grateful to the organizing teams at Sarvejana Foundation and Sunshine Hospitals Hyderabad for creating such a high-quality academic event. I look forward to applying these learnings in my own practice and sharing this knowledge with peers and students.
